Aegis Industrial Software, developer of the popular CircuitCAM CIM software, and Europlacer, manufacturers of component placement equipment, have announced an extension of their existing OEM agreement. Under this agreement, Europlacer will supply a Windows-based machine interface that easily translates virtually any data into usable machine data for all Europlacer systems.
This software is called CircuitCam Express.

CircuitCAM Express is a “lite” version of CircuitCAM which contains the core functionality and machine programming capabilities of CircuitCAM, but without many of the advanced features and options. CircuitCAM Express is sold in a single configuration consisting of all AEGIS native CAD file types, scanned board image, Gerber and can generate a ready to run machine program for Europlacer machine type only. CircuitCAM Express does not provide the ability to program mixed vendor equipment, generate visual aids, etc... The full version can be purchased lateron via Europlacer or Aegis.

Once CircuitCAM Express is installed, the user must register the software in order to gain access to utilize it. When CircuitCAM Express is launched the user will be given a notice saying that they must register. The user will fill in the details about their company name, contact name, phone number, etc. The user will be e-mailed an automatically generated license code which will need to be cut and pasted into the registration page.
The user will have 90 days to use a fully functional version of CircuitCAM Express. After 90 days, the software will no longer function. AEGIS will not grant any additional evaluation time for any reason.
Should the user wish to purchase the software at any time during or after the evaluation, they are to contact their sales person at Europlacer who installed their software, not AEGIS, he will then receive a CD and USB key from Aegis.

Very Important note:
If the customer purchased the software before they ever reviewed the 90-day trial version, they do not have to register the software. The customer would have received a CD and Quick Reference Guide and a USB key from either AEGIS. Therefore there is no download required in this scenario.

CircuitCam Express will be shiped with all machines delivered by Europlacer. A basic initiation will be given by the service engineer in charge of installation. If the customer decides to purchase the software a one day training will be given.
