The option Stock or Inventory management gives the possibility to trace all parts used on the pick and place machines on the shop floor. It gives the possibility to locate easily all components and know their remaining quantity in near real time. The system uses its own database that can import or export data from the customer ERP.

The micro terminal MC9090 is used to update the database with stock movements and to program the intelligent feeders, using its embedded camera scanner and its Wi-Fi transmission. It can be used as well as a standard micro terminal for feeder programming using its connection cable.

Introduction:

Stock management needs RC machine software installed on a programming station. A Wi-Fi access point is plugged onto the PC. The micro-terminal communicates with the programming station which holds the stock database. The programming station can manage independently several micro-terminals.

In a Europlacer production environment, components can be:

• in the factory stock
• on feeders connected to the machine
• on storage zones or trolleys connected to the programming station via set-up help
• on passive shelves

The quantities can only be managed by tracking each individual reel. Every reel should have a label 1D or 2D with a unique number. If there is no labels on reels or if the numbers are not unique, then the system will create a unique number and print out its label.

With existing ERP :

The programming station interfaces with the factory ERP, imports  through a text file the component data:

• Reel number, part number, qty, batch etc...

The label on the reel indicate the reel number, if labels are not available, we can print them from the programming station.

Without ERP :

The programming station can generate and centralise all information. The operator add new parts:

• Type in the data (part number, qty, batch number)
• Enter the qty of reels
• Type the reel code or ask the system to generate them automatically
• Reels labels can be printed
